Sweet Talk with Bryon Stout

For May 13th’s Sweet Talk, we present esteemed guest Bryon Stout!

“I helped run the international weekly house party called “SUNDAE” in Philadelphia. It is also located in Brisbane, Australia and LA, California. Sundae is from the mind of Lee Jones. When Aaron moved to Chi Town I got involved with SUNDAE. Lee helped me understand the business end of how a successful party is organized. I helped promote the event, setup my sound system and DJ. I got to meet and become friends with so many people from around the world and will never forget my time with them.
Now I am helping Rob Paine and Willyum with the SHAKEDOWN party in Philadelphia. The SHAKEDOWN is the premier underground house even in the city hands down. Top underground house djs and producers are brought in every 2nd sat of the month. I help with sounds, promotion and occasionally DJ.
HEADGAMES is my event that I started with Willyum (worship recordings). HEADGAMES was being hosted at FLUID NIGHTCLUB in south Philadelphia. We plan to bring in up and coming underground house producers and DJs every other month. HEADGAMES now is being hosted at the Arts Garage!
Between Sundae, shakedown and organizing my own events I was able to meet some amazing people like Mark Farina, Sean O’Neal, Josh Wink, King Britt, Julius Papp, Quest Love, Ultra Nate, Jay West, Pete Moss, DJ Heather, johnny dangerous, lady alma, ray casil,Ken and Juan from ECB, Sean Thomas, Oscar P, Willyum, Rob Paine, Lady alma, Nigel Richards, Joey Crawford, Davidson Ospina, Aaron Dae, Demakus Lewis,Brian Carter, Innerpartysystem and more.”

This week we have Live Forever resident Scotty Too Dope!

Born in Canada and raised in Connecticut, Scotty Too Dope now calls South Philadelphia home. As former resident DJ of the late LIVE FOREVER, his live sets run deep with Disco, Funk, and Electro. A man of infinite hobbies, Too Dope picked up DJ’ing in college, and earned a name for him self packing grungy West Philly basements with rowdy co-eds.
As far as musical roots go, Scotty was first a hip hop head, then an indie rat, then a hardcore kid, then an electro kid, and now finally some sort of lovely amalgamation of all of them. This Promo Mix for the Second Edition of Sweet Talk coincides with the release of the 12th Edition of his popular monthly TOO DOPE RADIO Podcast series.

For March 25th’s Sweet Talk, we present special guest Ed Blammo!

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Ed Blammo first got his start in music as a teenager, playing keyboard and singing backup vocals in a community-run gospel group. In his mid-twenties he found his first true calling in the world of competitive windsurfing. After winning several regional and national competitions, he decided to retire in Philadelphia, where he found himself immersed in the local DJ and nightclub culture. This promo mixtape for the first edition of Sweet Talk at the Barbary draws inspiration from his sunny days spent traveling, drinking, and windsurfing on the pacific northwest coast.
